Why the cowrie?

Shika means money in Ga. The cowrie shell was Ghana's first currency, and kente is the cloth Ghana weaves its stories into. Our mark joins the two: the oldest way of paying with the way a trade is passed down.

We started with a single pharmacy and one test: a full week of real sales, including hours with no internet, ending with cash that matched and not one order lost or counted twice. That week is still how we judge every release.

What we hold ourselves to

Built for real shops
We start from a market stall, a pharmacy counter and a boutique till, not a boardroom. If it slows the queue, it does not ship.
Honest about money
Every fee is shown before it is charged and every receipt adds up. Your records should match your account, to the pesewa.
Works when the network doesn't
Connections drop and power cuts happen. Selling continues, and everything syncs without double counting when you are back online.
